New Orleanian Enchantress

Magick and witchcraft have been an integral part of my life for 15+ years now. I, like many others my age, are the product of a very culturally spiritual era. Not to mention, New Orleans is an insanely spiritual and sometimes melancholy place to be, and I have lived in or around the city for nearly all my life aside from a brief stay in Lafayette for college, in Baton Rouge for work, and in various places around Texas during recovery efforts after Katrina. Witches, ghosts, vampires, werewolves, and all manners of strange and unusual make up a large part of this city’s culture. For all my grievances, this is home.

On this journey, I’ve found a great deal of joy in taking on both the role of the student and the mentor – learning as I go, sharing as I learn – all propelled by this insatiable curiosity for the inner workings of the Kosmos and all which may lie beyond it which I’ve had for as long as I’ve been conscious. How wonderful, then, that I have found myself in a place where I am able to exercise the belief that all my theories, insights, and knowledge are best shared for others to build off of and benefit from. How wonderful, then, that we are all eternal students of the Kosmos. This is what The Witchy Housewife is all about.

Divine Feminine & Comic Creatrix

My mission in life is one of unconditional love, unabashed whimsy and romanticism, and intellectual wanderlust. My work and way of life is dreamy, flowery, gossamer; I believe it to be the ultimate antidote to the brutalistic technocorporate poisoning of the modern era which produces this, sort of, energetic sludge and contributes greatly to the deterioration of our culture and society and collective mental health. For me, the desire to create and inspire is Maslowian in nature. It is so deeply woven into the fiber of my being that the urge to make art, to be art, to live and breathe art is reflective. I cannot be rid of it. It is who I am at my core, and it oozes like stressed waters through deconstructed dams from all that I think, say, and do.

It’s easy to see in all of my work – my art, my writing, my crafts – this way that I perceive life and the world around me. Life should be beautiful and playful and exciting, and I do my best to make it so.

Hereditary Healer & Natural Intuitive

For our entire lives, my sisters and I have had strange experiences: A seemingly natural and acutely attuned sense of extrasensory perception, a tendency to “know” things and to inadvertently “cause” things to happen, and a deep connection with nature and loved ones who had passed on. It wasn’t until later in life, when I was in high school, that I finally started having conversations with my mother about these experiences. As it turns out, these gifts happen to also run very deeply on both sides of my family.

My mother’s side comprises of hands-on healers, medicine women, and frighteningly strong intuition all throughout. Some of the experiences which were described to me would blow your mind (and is likely something I will share with you all in a video someday), and my grandmother herself was trying to teach my mother to develop her abilities before having a scary experience which caused her to turn away from it all and try to live her life distracted enough to block out those experiences. She never did share with anyone what that scary experience was, but I did happen to end up with all of the books she had on energy work after her passing.

My father’s side comes from Cajun and Cherokee heritage who ultimately fell under Catholic denomination, and my great grandmother who lived a very long life and with whom I used to make rosaries as a child worked with Saints and Psalms and claimed to see spirits all the time. My father told me a story about seeing spirits at her house while staying over one night when he was a child, to which, without a word from him, she responded, “It’s alright. They won’t hurt you.”

These days, I use these gifts not only to provide spiritual services and guidance, but to help others awaken these abilities within themselves, as well. I look at it very much like any other gift – the gift of creativity, the gift of artistic ability, the gift of prose and poetry. While some people may be born with a knack for these things, I firmly believe that everyone is able to hone such abilities.

Daughter of the Sacred Khthonic Triad

I consider myself a devoted Priestess of Khthonic Wicca, a Hellenistic slant on Solitary Wicca which I have built myself from my extensive studies and experience with Solitary Wicca and Hellenismos. This means that I sing daily praises to the Theoi in all forms they manifest, I nurture and tend to sweet Gaia to the best of my ability just as she endlessly nurtures and tends to us, and I walk the path of the In-Between, with Sacred Mother Hekate, Lady Persephone, and Lord Haides as my Patron Guides. While I’m happy to learn and teach about just about anything, you will find that much of my work here is through that lens.

Emissary of the Osmium Age

Finally, I am the mother of the philosophy of I refer to as the Osmium Age, a hypothetical existence which far surpasses the Golden Age in its equal-measure attention to body, mind, and spirit. It is an idea that Utopia, in all of its impossible perfection, can and should be strived for even with the understanding that such an end is likely unreachable. Through this philosophy, I strive to help cultivate each and every individual’s ability to build a life of well-deserved happiness, unending success, and overflowing abundance.
