Apatite is a type of mineral made up of varying amounts of phosphate and calcium which was named for the Greek ‘ἀπατάω’ (apatao), meaning ‘to deceive’, due to its tendency to be mistaken for other minerals. You may be familiar with the sub-form hydroxyapatite, which forms a major part of the teeth and bones of vertebrate animals and can be now often found in many remineralizing dental care products. Apatite is good for workings related to manifestation, skills, success, motivation, clarity, communication, creativity, guidance, influence, inspiration, intelligence, knowledge, learning, memory, awakening, enlightenment, and psychic ability.

Crystals carved into points or obelisks act as a sort of conduit or battery for the energy they align with. Keeping points or obelisks near something will naturally imbue it with that crystal’s energy. It can also be used like a wand or athame, held in your hand and out toward the point of focus you would like to send its energy into.
