Citrine is a variety of quartz which was named for the French ‘citron’, meaning ‘lemon’, due to its pale yellow color. It can be a bit difficult to find, as heat-treated amethyst, smoky quartz, and lemon quartz are often put on the market as ‘citrine’, though you will notice these tends to be much darker and richer in color than natural citrine. These lots appear to me to be genuine specimens. Citrine is good for workings related to happiness, abundance, improvement, and creativity.

Crystals carved into points or obelisks act as a sort of conduit or battery for the energy they align with. Keeping points or obelisks near something will naturally imbue it with that crystal’s energy. It can also be used like a wand or athame, held in your hand and out toward the point of focus you would like to send its energy into. It’s an incredible versatile and intuitive shape for any crystal in your collection. These particular lots range in size from approximately 2″ to approximately 3″ in height, with Lot 1 having the smallest specimens and Lot 4 having the largest specimens.

It’s like the crystalized essence of the Mousai and can help with preventing creative blocks and motivating you in the way of creative projects. I think it would also make a great addition to any altar dedicated to the Mousai.
