Description
Moonstone is a type of feldspar – also called Hecatolite, for the goddess Hekate – which was named for its characteristic iridescent luster and its milky, blue adularescence caused by light diffraction through the alternating layers of orthoclase and albite buried within the stone. Moonstone is, naturally, a great stone for working with the energy of Luna, but it is also good for workings related to psychic ability, divination, the dream realm, and healing.
Crystals carved into points or obelisks act as a sort of conduit or battery for the energy they align with. Keeping points or obelisks near something will naturally imbue it with that crystal’s energy. It can also be used like a wand or athame, held in your hand and out toward the point of focus you would like to send its energy into. It’s an incredible versatile and intuitive shape for any crystal in your collection. These particular lots range in size from approximately 2.5″ to approximately 3″ in height, with Lot 1 having the smallest specimens and Lot 2 having the largest specimens.
💡 The Witch’s Recommendations: Besides quartz, moonstone and sunstone are two of my big ride-or-die stones that I keep both with me as bracelets and on my altar as points and cabochons. Moonstone, of course, represents the energy of the Goddess – the Divine Feminine. Additionally, it is something Hekate holds domain over, so it makes a wonderful offering for her or for any deities with domain over the moon, such as Selene or Artemis.
