Selenite is a type of gypsum which was named for the Greek ‘σεληνίτης λίθος’ (‘selenites lithos‘), meaning ‘moon stone’, as ancient people believed the mineral to wax and wane with the cycles of Luna. Selenite is good for workings related to cleansing – and it is a powerhouse in that regard.

Crystals carved into points or obelisks act as a sort of conduit or battery for the energy they align with. Keeping points or obelisks near something will naturally imbue it with that crystal’s energy. It can also be used like a wand or athame, held in your hand and out toward the point of focus you would like to send its energy into. It’s an incredible versatile and intuitive shape for any crystal in your collection. This particular lot sits at approximately 3.5″ in height, with only very small variation above or below that height.
