Description
The idea of the Witches’ Brew may have evolved from the history of beer-brewing being once considered a woman’s job. Women would begin their concoction of wort (unfermented beer) and herbal blends (in place of a bitter agent) inside of – you guessed it – a large home cauldron, which would be stirred and tended to and fermented over time. A Witches’ Brew today can be anything, but it is most commonly depicted as an autumnal blend of fragrant herbs and spices. This simmer pot potpourri is no exception with its notes of citrus, herbs, spices, and evergreens.
Ingredients: Orange peel, rose petal, bay laurel leaves, juniper berries, cinnamon sticks, and pinecone chunks.
Contains approximately 4.8 oz.
Instructions: Add contents to a pot with 4-5 cups of simmering water. Keep flame low and let simmer for several hours, adding water to top it off as needed. You may split the blend up as you like; simply add a bit less water.
💡 The Witch’s Recommendations: I have three favorite applications of fragrance evocation: The wood wick candle, the resin over charcoal, and the simmer pot. Simmer pots can make your home feel so cozy and magical, and they really do a great job of smelling up the entire room they’re brewed in.
